The 2018 CATSINaM Professional Development Conference was held in Adelaide, Australia from the 17th to the 19th of September 2018.
The Conference purpose was to share information while working towards an integrated approach to improving the outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians. The theme “Honouring our past, empowering our present, growing our future” provided an opportunity to highlight the very real difference being made in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health by our Members.
The conference agenda included plenary speaker sessions, panels, and presentations as well as professional development workshops.
The annual Professional Development Forum for the Leaders in Indigenous Nursing and Midwifery Education Network (LINMEN) was held on Monday 17th of September. The Forum provided an opportunity for nursing and midwifery educators to come together and learn more about cultural safety and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, history and culture.
The CATSINaM Gala Dinner and Awards evening was held on the 18th of September. This unmissable event celebrated the contributions of distinguished CATSINaM Members to our field.
